What to do after a car accident
Negligence: This is usually listed as the number one cause of car accidents in South Florida. Someone was not paying enough attention to traffic or road conditions.
Speeding & Alcohol: These are also huge contributors to traffic accidents. In either case, the driver is usually aware of the condition but ignores it.
Product Liability: The car itself is the problem here, such as a defective tire that blows. In this case, the manufacturer may be held accountable for the accident even though there was no actual intent to cause harm.

It is any activity that diverts the attention of the driver from road, including talking or texting on your phone, eating and drinking, talking to people in your vehicle, adjusting the radio or GPS. Texting is the most common and deadly distraction. Sending or reading a text takes your eyes off the road for at least 5 seconds.
