I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the stellar work you did on our behalf and to share with you a key lesson I learned from this experience. That lesson simply is, if you are going to trial, you do not want just competent counsel, you want the best! Scott, from day one, I was impressed with the person and energy you exhibited in defending this matter. What I appreciated the most, however, was that you took the time to get to know our organization, our culture, and most importantly, our people. Through all the ups and downs that are inevitable in a case such as this, you always gave us your full attention and consistently provided us with sound advice. At trial, I was astounded by your courtroom demeanor and the way you related to judge and jury alike. You have a winning delivery that is both sincere and compelling in the courtroom atmosphere.
It was amazing to watch you deliver your arguments with such conviction and without notes. It leant tremendous credibility to the arguments you made. I can only admire how well you are able to think on your feet. Perhaps the highest compliment I can pay you is what I thought to myself on more than one occasion, “I am just glad he is our counsel and not on the other side.” In the final analysis, there is no doubt in my mind that the favorable outcome of this matter was a result of your work and ability.
